Rocky Point Cabins grew out of a lifelong connection to building, craftsmanship, and practical construction work. The owner began working in roofing and construction at the age of sixteen and spent many years gaining hands-on experience in residential and commercial building. Through that work, he developed a love for meeting people, helping solve building problems, and creating things that are useful, durable, and built with care.
While commercial roofing provided valuable experience, it was not always the best fit for a young family. With a growing family – especially boys who enjoy building and working with their hands – the idea of creating a family-centered business became more important. Building cabins has been a dream for many years and starting over in business, in a new area, the timing felt right to turn that dream into something real.
Rocky Point Cabins was founded with a vision to build cabins that represent more than shelter. Our goal is to create places where life feels simpler, where families can slow down, and where everyday moments matter more. We want to help you realize your dreams, solve the challenges that come with cabin ownership or remote property, and fully support you throughout the entire process.
At Rocky Point Cabins we are not simply trying to sell another cabin, but are focused on helping you create a meaningful place that fits your life, land, and future plans.

Jonathan | Location Manager & Partner | Montana
Having grown up in an Amish-Mennonite community, Jonathan brings a deeply rooted work ethic, strong family values, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship to the Rocky Point Cabins team. With our main base in northern Idaho, he is playing a key role in the launch and growth of our new Montana location.
Jonathan’s extensive background in the trades—including experience in shed manufacturing, construction, roofing, and siding—has given him a broad range of skills and a keen eye for detail. His dedication to doing things right, treating customers fairly, and delivering exceptional quality aligns perfectly with the values on which Rocky Point Cabins was built.
Partnering with Rocky Point Cabins allows Jonathan to pursue a lifelong dream of helping build a business that creates lasting value for customers while providing meaningful opportunities for his family and community.
